Exploring the hills, lookouts and natural beauties of Zagorje

At the first mention of Zagorje to those who visited it, they see a picture of green hills dotted with vineyards and cellars. The green hills and the nature of Zagorje are a great idea for an unforgettable trip near Zagreb. It is worth going to the hills and lookouts of Zagorje, especially because of the view from them. Located on the top of Košnički Hum, at 333 meters above sea level, Veliki Tabor dominates Zagorje, and apart from being a museum, it is worth visiting because of the view that encompasses the entire Hrvatsko zagorje and part of Slovenia. The Educational and Recreational trail “Kapelščak”, the trail through the canopies of Zelenjak, Bedekovčanska Lakes, the Sports and Recreational Lake Jarki, the Historical Educational Trail Kamenjak, The Ecological Trail Cesargradska gora and the Vražja peć Excursion Site are just some of the stops on the route of getting to know Zagorje nature and all its beauties. Ivančica and Strahinjčica are two mountains in Zagorje with lookouts that are very well known to Croatian mountaineers, and one of the attractive lookouts is the Picelj Mountain House.
